Moses Lake Academy
Apart from the provision of shelter and food, Rose of Charity has also prioritized education
as an essential need to all children, this is where the idea of building an ECD Centre and
Primary school began.
Moses Lake is a brainchild of Rose of Charity. Moses Lake meaning
drawn out of water. Moses Lake Academy will be a lake that will transform the lives of our
future generation.
Rose of Charity noted that children were walking more than 15kms a day bare footed to get
to school. This meant that they must wake up at the crack of dawn to prepare for school.
Some children leave home at 4am so that they can get to school at 6am, it becomes a
challenge especially during winter because it is cold, and some children don’t go to school.
We have commenced with Moses Lake Academy project, having completed the following
- Drilling of 3 boreholes
- Construction of the road
- Connection of electricity to the school premises
- Ground-breaking ceremony
